Submitting Slide Sets
for the
World Wide Web

The current method of transfering slides sets to the world wide web allows the inclusion of images(i.e. slides), text and audio.
In order to facilitate the simplest transfer of the slide sets, we suggest the following formats:

images: GIF or JPEG format, 700x460 pixels if using large and small images or
350x230 pixels is using small images only (sizes are approximate)
Each image should be appropriately named. For example:
  • for a general Chemistry class whose Module number is 602 using GIF images, chem602_XX.gif where XX indicates the number of the particular image.
  • for Botany 102, slide set #2 using JPEG images would be named bot102.2.XX.jpg again, XX indicates the number of the particular image.
text: ASCII format, also referred to as 'text only' in some programs.
As with the images, the text should be seperated and named according the the particular slide:
  • chem602_XX.txt
  • bot102.2.XX.txt
audio: AIFF format, As with the text, the audio should be seperate files and named according the the particular slide:
  • chem602_XX.aiff
  • bot102.2.XX.aiff
